Christmas is a wonderful time of year filled with family, friends, foods, decorating, lights, gift giving and gift receiving, caroling, music and so much more. For some...it is a time of laughter, cheer and warmth around a fire. For others...there is sadness, grief and memories of those who have gone on to eternity.
Whatever the Christmas season holds for you, I hope that you know that you are loved and that you will take some time to reflect upon the true meaning that this holiday holds which is the birth of Jesus Christ.
Jesus, God's only begotten Son who came to this earth thousands of years ago in human form as a baby (John 1:14- "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.").
Do you know Him? If you do, I am so happy that you do. If you do not, It would be my pleasure to introduce Him to you. Read about his birth in the Bible in the book of Matthew, chapter 1 and also in Luke, chapter 2. If you read on, in the book of John, chapter 3 you will see how that God loved us so much that He gave us the most precious and beneficial gift anyone could give to us and that is the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
John 3:16-18 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Why would he? Why did he do that? He did it for you and for me because He loves us just that much. May you and your loved ones have a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.
